I happened across a site, called Open Source Photography. Reading a lot of its contents consumed my afternoon, but it worth the time.
As the name lets you guess it, the site is a collection of articles on open source software related to digital photography. But i’s better if I let them introduce themselves:
“This group deals with all open source software available to photographers. It intends to be a forum to share experiences and advances in the area of open source and photography. From image post-processing using GIMP, sharing plug-in experiences and scripts, to open source tools used for creating and tone mapping HDR images, and much more. We intend to cover the hottest pieces of open source photography software. You can start getting familiar with all the options you have by checking the big picture.”
